There's now a hands-on preview of the Sony at dpreview:

I have to admit, this is tempting. I have a *lot* of K-M accessories
(originally purchased for my A1) which appear to be plug-compatible
to this wee beastie, and it sounds like it's coming with a variety of
Zeiss lenses which are almost exactly in my preferred focal length
range (there's a 16-80 Vario-Sonnar T*, ferinstance, which would
cover 97% of my shots). Unless Oly hits it out of the park this year
with a new E-thingie, my E-1 may end up being my first and last DSLR
(for the backwards-compatibility with my legacy OM lenses,
natch). Which would be a shame, but then, I *have* been an Oly-freak
for lo these last three decades give or take.
In particular, the combination of in-camera-body Anti-Shake (which
has astonished me with how well it works on the A1) and sensor dust
cleaning may just clinch the deal. I've shot one-eighth of a second
handheld with the A1 and the resulting pics have been tack-sharp, and
I'm kinda spoiled by that. Mind you, a lot also hinges on how well
the new Sony's sensor does the imaging in the first place, as well as
the build of the body -- the E-1's body is *truly* pro-grade.
I'll probably wait until Photokina in September. That's only three
more months...
