When shooting with my A1 I sometimes use two auto flashes on the camera.
One in the hotshoe and the other on a bracket. The one in the shoe is
typically bounced off the ceiling and the one in the bracket bouncing
off walls and ceiling. Sometimes even pointed behind me (but you have
to be careful of your own shadow)
I find that I can usually fine tune the exposure by chimping and
checking the histogram within 2 shots. Often it only takes 1.
