Looks like a reasonable solution, but why not use a PCCard adapter in the
laptop. It's very small and the CF card goes into it and it slides into the
laptop. About the size of a thick credit card and very cheap ($10 or so).
That's what I carry (unless I bother with the Epson P-2000).
