Finally, what took you so long to tell me what the noise difference is
between the A1 and E1...:)
I knew that when it comes to noise the cameras like the E-1 would exceed when
it comes to noise, but my argument was not about cameras like it. The EVOLT is
just as noisy as my A200, but I will admit that got this out of reading the
tests others performed.
A friend of mine bought long time ago the original Rebel. When he came to
visit, we went to the Cliffwalk, which is a path on the Newport coast that
gives you view of the mansions. By the time we were done it was dark. He does
not know anything about picture taking and did not carry tripod and was
disappointed when his camera "did not take the picture" of this mansion:

So I offered some help and he got home with a pretty decent night picture...:)
I still have that file on my computer at home and can't see any difference at
100% between the Rebel and the A200 during long exposures. One thing that I
noticed though, is that the pictures from the A200 come out a little softer.
As mentioned elswhere on the net, they sharpen pretty well and need more
sharpening afterwards.
