I am not sure how that would be done, but if they have a mathematical
formula for predicting their lens performance, then the question
would be whether it is close to what you would actually get from one
of their lenses. How they do it is not as important as the question
of how acccurately minimum performance is represented. It could be
more accurate prediction than picking a lens off of the line, or
cherry picking, and actually measuring it.
