It seems that no one finds the mouseover tags worthwhile, and some people
dislike them.
The site referenced doesn't provide any insight into labels but sure makes
css sound discouraging for positioning elements.
I think I asked at least one too many questions
... but it gives me plenty to think about for which way to head in the
future.

1. Because this is not what the alt tag is for.
2. Because I don't design for IE, I design for standards, and if necessary
add the necessary css hacks to make it all work around the various IE
mishandlings of css (look up
