It is true.
It was considered a demonstration, and demos are now prohibited
within 1km of Parliament unless approved inadvance by the police.
It was legislation that was rushed in to get rid of Brian Haw, a chap
who has been encamped in Parliament Square since the invasion of
Iraq. He had been protesting against the war until this waste of
legislative time was voted in by our MPs.
It is not worth getting too sweaty about it since so many other
things are just as bad, and my blood pressure is raised just at
apostrophes anyway ... ;-)
But we'll soon get rid of Blair, and perhaps the Shrub will go too
and we can get back to reasonable-man debates and decisions...
