If you're comparing the 14-45mm f3.5/5.6 to the 14-54mm f2.8/3.5 the thing
that was most noticeable to me was the barrel distortion at the 14mm end for
the cheaper lens.
It could be argued that the 14-45 is good enough that it's not worth
spending additional money on the 14-54 but IMO if you have neither get the
14-54.
