> Holden = GM Australia
close... GMH: General Motors Holden. the company formed as a result of
a March 1931 merger between Adelaide company, Holden Motor Bodies & US
giant General Motors.
> Holden is the manufacturer of what is sold in UK as the Vauxhall Monaro - a
> 5.7 / 6.0 litre V8,
Was also exported into the US as the Pontiac GTO.

four wheel drive? FOUR WHEEL DRIVE? that would necessitate a power
sapping transaxle. that doesn't fit in very well with the fencing wire
& binder (bailing) twine philosophy that keeps our cars running out
here... ;)
just as an aside, 3 guys on the episode of Top Gear I watched last
night rated the Monaro the best, over a Jag S type R and a Chrysler
300c, for both performance & handling. in the standing start race on the
beach it came last, only 'cos the pilot couldn't drive & proceeded to
dig up the Welsh beach they were using as a test track instead of
driving away from the starting line...
