I have placed some pics at: http://bcf.nerim.net
I have to reconsider somewhat my criticism of ACR. There does seem to
be a very big influence of the white balance adjustment, and it is
differently treated by ACR and C1. Curiously, the white balance "as
shot" was interpreted differently by ACR (3.1) and C1 (3.7.2 LE):
5800 K for one, 5300 K for the other.
At default settings, I tend to prefer the C1 rendering.
However, if I adjust the white balance by clicking on one of the
flowers in the foreground, the C1 rendering becomes less pleasant,
whereas ACR tends to get much better.
Overall, at least for this picture, I feel that the most pleasant
rendering is provided by ACR, calibrated with the Tindemans script
(http://www.xs4all.nl/~tindeman/raw/acr-calibrator-l.html), and
WB-adjusted.
