Just a little unfair. Opticians make eyeglasses using a limited range of
glasses and plastics in limited thickness. Their equipment is simply not
designed to handle what you want.
I did once talk one into making a couple of modest power simple lenses
to slightly change the focal length of lenses used in a sophisticated
projection system. I wasntd to get the rear projection images exactly to
scale.

Yes, there is at least one place doing this. I think someone already
posted the name. They will separate, clean, polish, reglue and recoat. I
think I've heard of elements being created from scratch, but the cost is
simply uneconomic.
