I've got the 38/2.8, but it doesn't get much use and sits in the dark most of
the time with such other shelf queens as the 35/2.8 shift, 50/3.5, the
foggy-bottom 65-200/4, and a trio of 50/1.8's. The 80/4 goes as close as I
normally ever want to go, and it is also THE lens to use for slide copying,
should the need arise. The few times I have used the 38/2.8, I have been
impressed with its performance, particularly with the macro flashes and a
mid-range aperture. Maybe I need to start thinking smaller. Wonder how it'll
work on the E-thing. :-)
