I find it to be really interesting. The market was settling down and
getting kind of predictable. If Canon drives the market as much as
people think it may mean there will be much more pressure by this
modestly priced camera than the $8000 flagship causing other makers
to follow if they can afford to. If this camera gobbles up sales will
we see a full frame announcement by Nikon and Oly? Kodak makes a full
frame sensor that was used in one of their MF backs. I have no idea
what Sony, Nikon's sensor partner, might have in the back room. It
could mean that Canon will end up owning the camera market like
Microsoft does software and users of anything else will be considered
a cult.
