For those with a number of Nik*n mount lenses and/or Tamron Adaptalls,
it's the great trade-off. With low end Nik*n DSLRs, you get focus
confirmation, but no metering at all. You need a separate meter. With
Pro Nik*ns, you get focus confirmation, metering and auto diaphram stop
down. With all Can*ns, you get stop down metering, no focus confirmation
and no auto diaphram stop down.
I was not going to pay the cost of the Pro Ns and preferred built in
stop down metering without focus confirmation to no metering at all, so
I would have leaned toward C anyway. The ability to use OM mount lenses
on C and not N made it a no brainer for me. Don't get me wrong, the N
system is very attractive. If I were starting from scratch, it would be
a strong contender.
I still wish Oly made the DSLR for my needs, maybe next round.
