My E-1 is only six weeks old. I'm beginning to really, really like it. When
cooler weather gets here, I know I'll like it even more better than I do now.
It's kinda hard to judge results shot through house and SUV windows from
air-conditioned comfort. This is mad dogs and Englishmen weather, and if I
ain't got to be out in it, I ain't going out in it!
But my wife's new camera is supposed to arrive tomorrow, an Olympus Stylus 800.
Now she's going to have 3MP more than me! What must I do?
I think I'll just lie and tell her the E-1 is actually 10MP. Yeah, that'll
work. I'll say that the "1" is just short for 10. She won't know any
different. I prevaricate like a pro, and I hate not being the lead dog, so
unless somebody's got a better idea, that's what I'm going to do. Probably
better than telling her Fed-X lost the package.
By the way, it was $50 cheaper at Adorama than at B&H. I was surprised. I may
have to reevaluate my 30-year loyalty.
