Yes, the aluminum does not feel very good. But let me be more specific
about the one I have. Don't know if others from Germany are the same.
There is an indent in the face of the adapter showing where to place
the index of the lens. The lens and the adapter mate but the lens will
only turn about 1/16". The tab does not even come close to the lever
that adjusts the F stop and as a result the lens is always wide open no
matter where the aperature ring is positioned.
Maybe I'm incapable of understanding the adapter's principles but the
CameraQuest adapter that I have is easy to use.
