Heck, I've taken some decent tinted [1] shots with an XA just by
holding a pair of sunglasses over the lens.. The glass is small enough
that there's plenty of 'filter' there and I bracketed exposure with the
ISO setting just to be on the safe side, because I thought I'd got the
other (sunglasses) lens over the bit of XA that does metering, but
didn't want to find out I hadn't afterwards.
I'm impressed that Graham's somehow managed to avoid the distinctive
XA vignetting in his shots; when I'm looking through past rolls of
photos, I can usually tell if it's XA or not just by finding a photo
with the sky in it..
