For those of us for whom "a short distance west of downtown Chicago" is lust
a bit too far west, I can wholheartedly recommend a visit to the
International Arts and Crafts exhibition running at the V&A in London until
24 July - which includes coverage of Oak Park, along with other US
architectural masterpeices.

I forgot to mention the Frank Lloyd Wright home in Oak Park ( a short
distance west of downtown Chicago). If you are interested in his
architecture, a tour of his home and studio is something you'd probably
enjoy..
