I pretty much agree. I'd be happy with either one, as a matter of sensor
performance. The full frame images aren't all that great, mostly because
the nice light of the wider shot was gone and it was rather gray. Of
course, it got sunny again, and then gray and.....

That's why I sort of wish I had set the 300D to iso 400, which would
make the comparison really comparable and likely make the noise levels
more similar
