Hopefully 'Re Writable' DVDs are not as sensitive as CD rewritable's (which
can lose data if left in the sun). I've replaced one of our home VHS
machines with a Sony DVD recorder. The -RWs allow you to add chapter marks
during or after recording, you can edit/delete portions and regain the disc
space. This feature does not work with +RW discs. The Sony DVD recorder in
my HP PC does dual layer (increasing capacity to approx 9 G) but the media
is still expensive and hard to find. Next comes Blue Ray DVD (developed in
China) which yields something like 40G on one disc.
