Agree absolutely - the camera being physically passed around is the essence
of the idea.

I have given the comments below some serious thought over the past few
days, here is my response:
My original concept for the Olympus Odyssey (OO) was that a camera would be
passed around the OM list from member to member who each submits four
photographs of their choice for publication on the OO gallery. This
concept makes it different to other competitions such as TOPE where each
member uses their own camera and photographs a set subject.
In my mind, the most important part of the concept is the camera being
handed from one person to another.
One camera being used by fellow members of this list.
One camera being used to take photos in countries all over the world.
One camera being used to show our collective creativity on a level playing
field.
While I really like the 'stream of consciousness' idea outlined below, I
feel that concept can be used in the future for a separate exercise.
The theme for the OO, the thing that bonds it together is the camera. That
one camera being passed around the world is the essence behind what we are
doing.
