I don't have another back to try. Also, I read this on John's site
(about attaching a new back):
"Latch of new back cover may not line up with body latch at first.
If it doesn't, entire back must be flexed in order to align latches.
NEVER bend latch with pliers as this can make latch break off." Could
this be the problem? I do notice that the back of the 4Ti is slightly
flexed, not straight. And when I press on the right end of the back,
over the latch, it "gives" a little bit, I can press it down half a
millimeter or so before it returns to its position when I let it go.
Is this normal? I don't notice this on an OM-40.
