We have just been discussing this adaptor and I believe that most of us
think that having some sort of adaptor is an excellent idea – so that
you can continue to use some of your favourite Zuikos. However,
Olympus make their own and many members of the List have been provided
with this adaptor, the MA-1, free. I asked the marketing manager of
Olympus UK for one, telling him that I was considering an E-1 only if I
could use my old Zuikos with it. He sent me one within a couple of
days of my buying an E-1.
Do note, however, that the instructions that come with the MA-1
recommend only certain apertures with the Zuiko/E-1 combination.
It is also worth noting that the E-1 is available for about half price
as a discount for educational establishments and personnel ...
