The shadow/highlight tool in Photoshop CS and now PS Elements 3 is
amazing. A clipped area cannot be saved, but the actual clipped area is
usually much smaller than it appears in the image. PS can darken the
overexposed area around the blown area in many cases so that becomes an
insignificant highlight.
