A couple of years ago on the ML, there was a short thread suggesting
that these (the TCon-17, I believe) could be used on the front of our
Zuikos.
They seem to mount on the front of digital camera lenses and work very
well (Minolta and Canon also make such lenses). The two TCons seem to be
well regarded optically and install without problem (the Tcon-17 has a
55m thread; the Tcon-14b has 62 or 63mm). There are a couple of sites on
the web with comparison (digital) photos and the results are pretty good
- especially given the price. What is intriguing is that they don't cut
the light like the conventional converters that mount behind the lens.
Anyone have any comments or experience?
