Judging by the lack of response, I must be the only one on the list that
doesn't have any version of the venerable OM-1 series. ;-)
I am quite happy with my OM-3, and my wife is still happy with her
OM-4Ti. Multispot metering is a useful thing to have sometimes, although
I have found myself lately in situations where I meter once and shoot
for hours and hours (social gatherings). Also, with a purchase of the
OM-3 or its more expensive little brother, OM-3Ti, you get invitation to
join the "OM-3ers" club. Far more exclusive club than any other OM
clubs. Just ask Messrs Harridge and Troy. ;-)
The only thing that is bothering me more and more about my -3 is the
loud shutter -- unlike many, I hear the Leica siren call. Digital? Been
there (Fuji S2 Pro), done that, didn't like it. Not for the kind of
photography I've been doing lately.
Saso, going back to lurk mode.
