Good slide projectors don't "pop" slides :-) A slide "pops" because it has
gotten hot, and that's something a good projector will try and prevent. High
end projectors are usually designed with very high airflow rates so that the
slide remains cool while being projected. Slides may still "pop" after being
projected for a while, but usually not as much as in cheaper projectors since
the slide remains cooler.
