You can select the "A" mode and set aperture priority, or select "M" mode
and set both shutter speed and aperture... however the need to hold a button
and push the rocker is a bit fiddley... Ithink your stack is too deep. I
recently go a 'box of stuff' and in it I found a collapsable rubber lens
hood with built-in UV filter. Not sure who made it, it seems like a good
idea if you can get one with a wide-angle hood.
