Not Quite all! You must remember to make sure the rotary switch around
the flash socket is set to "X". If set to "FP", wou will be sadly
disappointed in the results. Some folks have been known to glue the
switch in the X position to avoid unexpected results. FP is a sync for
Focal Plane flash bulbs that used to do what the F280 later did
electronically, provide light long enough to cover the entire time the
slit between curtains takes to traverse the film at speeds higher than
1/60. The bulbs required time to get to full brightness, so the sync
occurs before the first curtain is released. With instant responding and
very short duration conventional electronic flash, that results in no
flash in the picture.
