You mean the 5-way connector Brian? That is the TTL cord connection, so you
can have the TPC off camera connected by cable or shoe cord. The 2S, 3 and
4 series have the same connector on the left front of the camera body, while
the 2 and 2n give you the choice of Auto connector or shoe cable. And you
can daisy chain the TPC with other units, so long as they are also TTL
capable (and if they don't have the 5-way socket, you will need a TTL Auto
Connector T20), up to a maximum of nine units connected with a TTL auto
multiconnector.
Enough so far?!

Subject: [OM] ( OM ) T Power Control 1 advice sought
Hi all,
Just doing some experimenting withe Olympus T 10 and the T Power Control
1 that comes with it. I got more than I bargained for since the T Power
Control 1 works with a variety of OM flash systems.
However, there is one aspect of the T Power that has me stumped.
On the left hand side, as you look at the rear of the camera and flash unit,
there is a connection plug-hole for power.
I have downloaded and printed out of a sharp HP laser printer, the PDF file
of instructions, and it does not say what this inlet / outlet power point is
for.
Is it to provide switching / power to another flash unit?
Or something else?
