If this has been discussed ad-nausum, please forgive me, but
I've been a bit wrapped up these days.
How well does the E1 do with glass such as the 100/2.8? I
recognize the drawback of manual focus and preset f-stop, and
Olympus' claims in superiority in new glass.
Specific lenses of interest:
30/2.8
50/3.5
100/2.8
200/4
I'm specificly seeking a "look" to my digital photography that
I'm not seeing with modern lenses. Two of the lenses listed are
more than sufficient in the "resolution" department--I have no
doubt about that. (I've got the 20x24 enlargements to prove
that).
Another question: Automatic dust removal. Would any of you
with multiple DSLR experience give me a weighting on this
feature? Is it hype or is it a "cat's meow" feature?
Another another question: Noise level. I know what the
"specifications" say, but they don't describe the quality of the
sound. Does the E-1 sound quiet? Can you feel the
shutter/mirror slap?
