Well, perhaps. I admit, it does sound a bit more proper and dignified.
However, I have been addressed in the manner in which one would address a lord
most of my life, so I've become accustomed to hearing "Lord Walt," sometimes
even "Good Lord Walt."
For instance, I recall any number of my friends, associates and former wives
greeting me in this manner: "Good Lord Walt! What have you done now?"
