Subject: [OM] E-1 shots from the trip
Just back from a Europe trip for two days, bring back around 1700 shots
from
the E-1, the film count shown I have fired the shutter for 2500 times,
that
means 800 were deleted before loading to the computer. For slides I have
an
OM4 with 16/3.5, 21/2, 40/2 and 75-150, also an OM2n, 28-48/4 and
35-105/3.5-4.5 for my elder son but he was not so happy with the setup.
He
liked the C5050 much more but it was the toy of my young son.
I expected to take less than 92 shoots per day with my 1G CF but it was
almost double. For slides it was only 2.5 rolls for the whole trip,
there
were simply no time for me to do any creative works (ok, I'm not that
creative either). Most of the shots were just family shots so I let my
E-1
do the job and it did very well with the FL-50. For half of the family
shots
I used flash for fill-in and I have to set the camera and flash to
manual
mode to make a good balance otherwise I have to use exposure
compensation
and do it by trial and error.
Here is part of the photos taken from the first 2-3 days:

BTW, they were converted with PhaseOne RAW converter, the Aug 17 version
is
now supporting Olympus SLR DCs and interestingly it give a little larger
view and size of 2608x1948 pixel instead of 1560x1920 pixel. There is
actually more coverage on the four edges.
