It depends, the microdrives consume around 220mA at 3V and CF are around
50mA at 3V. The total power consumption of a good DC is around 500mA at 4.8V
(some test shown around 4 hrs of operation for the better ones). I will not
consider the MD now because of power consumption but I did own a 340MB IBM
microdrive when I purchased the E-10 three and half years ago, at that time
the CF were just too expensive. The MD works very reliable though.
