Are you sure that was OM2?  OM2S does have a fall-back mechanical speed of
1/60 (as does OM4/4T), but I was not aware that any other 2-series did.

 Also, on my OM2, even if the batteries died, I could still use it manually
(I believe it fell back to 1/60th sec.)
