Greg,
I too, love my C-2100 UZ, but you're right -- 2MP isn't enough anymore. I
convinced my wife to adopt the 2100, and I'm also in hunt mode for a
replacement.
Have you considered the Konica-Minolta Dimage A1 or A2? They both offer
Minolta's version of IS (AS or Anti-Shake), they provide you with 7x optical
zoom (approx 28-200mm equiv for 35mm), and they both accept the B-300 1.7x
teleconverter. I know you probably want that extra reach, but I'm considering
the cleaner image of 5MP or 8MP with a 2/3" sensor instead of the Panasonic's
4.23MP with a 1/2.3" sensor.
I'm beginning to lean towards holding off another six months on a new digicam
and giving my OM-2N and OM-1N a lot more exercise for the rest of 2004. It's
not like I've exactly worn out my film scanner since I picked up the 2100UZ.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on the higher end digicams.
