Whoa, sounds like a bargain! I have noticed off-brand winders for OM
up on eb@y a couple of times (I forget the brand), and always
wondered whether how good the were. Does anyone else here use one?
Ali, does yours have a socket that the M.Grip cord might fit into?
cheers,
I recently bought one, seems to be new, "Samigon" brand name on it. Sticker
says "Made in China". Very close in size to the Olympus winder 2. It does not
have an M-Grip Cord socket. It takes 4 AAs, has an "Off" switch, and Single,
Continuous, and Timer modes. Timer mode has selections of 5, 30, and 60
seconds,
and 5 minutes. There is a socket on the back for a remote cord. I've used it
a few times, and it has worked very well. Seems very solidly constructed, and
the grip's surface is very well etched and gives an excellent grip.
I would definitely recommend these as an alternative to purchasing an Olympus
brand on the used market that may have 20 years of use on it.
