Dear Zuikoholics,
My name is David and I want to sell all my OM equipment and start
buying new Zuiko Digital lenses. I think is just the moment to jump
to this lovely system but I have a doubt about depth of field.
I always have been working with my 24/2 50/1,2 85/2 and 180/2,8
and I almost used to work with 180/2,8 for portrait. I would like to
have worked with one of the best Zuikos for portrait (100/2) but here
in Spain is very hard to find OM equipment. Now is oposite! Everybody
in Spain loves E-1 system.
All of you know how performs every Zuiko lens in every situation an when
you have to use your 85/2, 90/2 or 100/2 because "for sure" they have
different bokeh due to the blades and optical construction.
I know that if I buy an D-Zuiko 14-54 f2,8-3,5 is not going to blur the
background plenty enough to take a good portrait. I don´t know if depth of
field is going to be the same like my OM4T using a 28-108 f2,8-3,5
I would like to know if someone from the list has this camera and
took any portrait with this lens.
If I can´t blur the background I prefer buying D-Zuiko 50/2 or D-Zuiko
50-200/2,8-3,5 although I wouldn´t be able to take any "wide angle" picture.
Anybody is goigh to buy D-Zuiko 150/f2??? ;-)))))))))
Cheers,
Dave
pd: The other day I could see the camera and I felt the same when I bought
my lady in black OM4T ;-) I am very happy that Zuiko name still continues the
SAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that I´m going to feel the same when my father bought
his first OM-1 long time ago.
