However, in this case we are talking of the OM-lister giving negative
feedback and trying to avoid getting retaliatory negative feedback from the
seller. The response to the OM-lister's feedback would appear on the
seller's feedback, not on the OM-lister's. If the seller had given
feedback, he could follow-up, but could not change a positive to a negative.

Waiting that long won't work. I've looked into that in respect of a *bay
trade I did in the last 4 or so weeks which has a deceitful aspect to it, on
the part of the vendor. If you delve into your feedback area, you will find
there is no time limit to responses to (negative) feedback.
