Well, I used to have 5 miJs, but am now down to 1. All the others went
out to List members. A metal hood does fit reversed over my very late
miJ (#5,814,xxx), but it is indeed a snug fit, much tighter than other
50/1.8s. FYI, the rubber hoods also fit on these lenses reversed and a
rubber one fits my miJ quite easily without rubbing on the focusing grip
rubber like the metal one.
