I'm still waiting and hoping that it'll show up some day. I've had other
parcels and letters go missing since that one as well. The post office isn't
what it used to be. In fact as of about 6 months ago Canada Post eliminated
the Air Mail rate for parcels. You now must send parcels either via surface
or express mail shipping, both of which are tracked and insured. I see that
as an admission by them that too many packages were getting lost and this is
their way of "fixing" it. Of course the new rates are more than triple the
old Air Mail rate. For now you can still send things under 2Kg as a small
packet, which is much cheaper, but untracked and uninsured. I'm sure it's
only a matter of time before that rate goes away as well.
