Also well known that myopic people can improve distance vision by
squinting (pin-hole effect). Not allowed when viewing the eye exam chart.

It is also a well known phenomenon that people, especially older ones,
see better in bright light. The iris stops down and gets better depth
of field and correction of defects, just like a camera.
