Olympus America IS Olympus in the USA. It is a large organization and
the official repair service. The guy who sells things on the web is just
an employee who simply receives them from the department that
repair/reconditions returns. Did you read their very clear description
of what a reconditioned product is? Their warranty IS a warranty from
Olympus and their 30-day no questions asked return option is quite
generous. By thinking of them as like an individual vendor, you
potentially short change yourself. All the more opportunities for
others. Not me, cause I have no interest in an OM-3(Ti). By the way, the
original listing clearly stated "Camera Body" in large type up on the
top right, directly under "OLYMPUS OM-3 Ti SLR 35mm". Seemed pretty
clear to me.
I don't really care about defending Olympus America, they can take care
of themselves. I just can't see where there was a problem with the
listing. It seemed very straightforward to me. I have bought a few small
items from them and found them to be very professional. The items have
been just as described.
