For Windows before Win2K and WinXp, that is indeed a good fix. There's a
nice little time app over at www.analogx.com that can also handle time
server duties as well, for those of you that have more than one machine
on a local network.

Starting with Win2K and continuing through the WinXP versions, there are
built-in time service capabilities that use the standard network time
protocol. Just set it and forget it :-) In business networked situations
(i.e. those where a Windows server is involved) time services should get
automatically configured when one sets up a new machine and joins the
domain. For those using 2K and XP versions in a non-Windows-server
environment, search Microsoft's site or use Google or any of your other
favorite venues to search on "Windows Time Service" and you should find
the info on how to set it up. No need to bother with an additional
application for the newer versions of Windows.

If in Windows, go to Control Panel and select Date/Time and check for
proper time zone.

For Windows users who would like to keep their clocks synchronized to an

atomic clock I can highly recommend the freeware "Dimension 4". See:
<http://www.thinkman.com/> It's a 226KB download.
