Hi Dan
I have both Tessar and Sonnar versions of the Rollei 35, and an XA and
XA2..
My general impression is that the Rolleis give superior results, although
the XA wins on closeups due to the rangefinder. However, a 35mm lens is not
ideal for people closeups, so the 40mm scale-focussing Rolleis are adequate
for most subjects that I take.
The XA can be put in a chest pocket without feeling so noticable as the
Rollei, which is considerably heavier. That can be a considerable advantage
when Crosscountry skiing with a pack with hipbelt.

Has anyone used a Rollei 35 (Sonnar or Tessar lens)?
How does lens/image quality compare to the XA (or 1/2/3/4)
Regards
Dan
