Or you could try to find the Vivitar 2x Macro Focusing Converter.
This is a 2x teleconverter and a telescopic auto extension tube in one.
It seems that this converter was made by Kiron and knowing the reputation
of the original Kiron 2x converter, this cannot be a bad thingie.
And it goes cheap second-hand.
