For those interested in competitive upsampling software, my pro photog
buddy also assists in running a website that sells interpolation software
called S-Spline 2 (and the site does comparisons with other packages). The
site even has forums for users to talk about the pros and cons of various
packages, as well as news from the world of sampling software. The URL is:
http://www.interpolatethis.com/
Most enlightening. There are examples on the site (including a massive
banner across 35 feet or so of a semi-trailer!). Check it out under the
"Photo Adventures in Real Life" article near the bottom of the main page.

P.S.: Other than the fact he's a buddy of mine and an honourable man, I
have no connection (certainly no financial one, anyways...).
