Well, lets see, how about a Tamron SP 400mm f4. Nice! Need a fairly heavy
tripod. Add a 1.4X or 2X and really reach out and touch something. Made some
exposures of a big hawk in a tree this past week end with this lens 1.4X
attached, leaning across the center console of my SUV, lens resting on a bean
bag
atop the window glass. Engine running and somehow had the shutter speed set at
1/15th. Images were not bad and my back wasn't either after a visit to the
chiropractor.
Would love to find a new home for my Zuiko 400mm f6.3 as it is seldom used
since getting the Tamron. It is much lighter and a bit slower. Interested
parties might contact me off list. Bill Barber
