This is fascinating. Olympus are really precisely specifying the focal
lengths and aperture ranges they consider could give acceptable
performance. (I never saw Nik or Can do anything like this for their DSLRs
- but then I don't have a Nik or Can or a mailing list like this for them.)
They are almost banning small apertures.
Do you think Oly are hyper-careful or are Zuikos + the E-1 so much worse
than Nikkors or Cannons? Or maybe the E-1 CCD doesn't have the
micro-lenses that the Nik and Can sensors have - that could be it...?
