Though some similar scenarios might definitely happen...

...that last line makes me think this is yet another one of those
chain-letter like warning messages that someone invented, just to see how
far it will spread.
Having said that, there might be some truth in it, and of course the
bottom-line (i.e. never to give any credit card details like this to anyone)
is valid enough.
I wonder though, the three separate numbers on the card are some validation
code alright, but I don't think that with that information your complete cc
number can be retrieved, or am I mistaken there?!?
